Specializing in vascular and vein therapy

Dr. Li joined West Coast Vascular from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He was one of the few physicians skilled in both open surgical and endovascular (minimally-invasive) techniques.

 

When Dr. Li joined West Coast Vascular in 2013 he became a resident of Santa Barbara to spearhead our practice in the Central Coast region. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery for General Surgery and Vascular Surgery. Dr. Li received his undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He received his Doctorate of Medicine from the New York University School of Medicine and completed a residency in General Surgery at the University of Maryland. After residency, Dr. Li completed a fellowship in Trauma Surgery and Surgical Critical Care at the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. He also completed a fellowship in Vascular Surgery at Emory University. Dr. Li’s interests within Vascular Surgery are comprehensive, including treatment of varicose veins and chronic venous insufficiency, abdominal and thoracic aortic aneurysms, deep venous thrombi, peripheral arterial disease, carotid artery disease, and providing dialysis access creation and maintenance.
